The original deck was a low, weathered wood platform that had greyed with age and was due for a full rebuild rather than a repair.
We tore out the old structure and rebuilt it from the ground up: new posts and a full joist frame, new stained wood decking, black metal baluster railings, and a matching staircase down to the yard.
The homeowner now has a solidly rebuilt deck off the back of the house, with a finished staircase connecting it to the yard.
